I made this piece because in my opinion, it is much more beneficial to love money rather than to fear or hate it. While the original reason money was invented was to ease trade and bartering, it has grown into a force that exerts great power over almost all aspect of our lives. Though the concept of money is meant to be neutral, when regulations around it are left unchecked or built exploitatively, the levels at which society rewards certain behaviors over others can perpetuate deep inequality and greed. When systems are set in place for money to be to be distributed honestly and effectively, however, it can grant great individual agency, uplift communities, and serve as a force for equity and justice. That is why it is important to support businesses which aim to uphold ESG concepts - environmental, social, and governance ideals. Businesses promoting values of fair trade, sustainability and transparency are imperative to grant everyone a fair chance at true economic freedom.

Putting these types of companies at the forefront doesn’t necessarily mean one is expected to completely abstain from non-ESG companies, as some are often unavoidable and others are still worthwhile supporting, such as small businesses, women/POC/LGBTQIA+ owned, and others that may not entirely conform to ESG standards but are doing the best that they can within their capabilities. But the whole idea is to use money to one’s advantage by investing it in the best way; after all, it was invented for us to control and not the other way around.

This piece was designed with the intention to serve as a limited-edition talisman for good fortune, with the hope that as the brand behind the work grows, so too does it’s value.

Fifty percent of the proceeds from minting NFT is to be split evenly between all the causes that the site is aiming to fund. The other fifty percent will go towards Nele The Entertainer LLC. Every subsequent sale will be split in three ways: 50 % to the seller, 45% royalties to be split evenly between all the causes, 5% royalties to Nele The Entertainer LLC.
