ChatGPT, Adobe Photoshop & Firefly

I chose to remaster the original Betrayal of the Brain to showcase my longterm progress as an artist combined with the advancements in AI. When I first created the original nine years ago, I never imagined I would be given the opportunity make art for a higher purpose. I purely did it for the sake of creation, of being human, of producing something so terribly beautiful and haunting you couldn’t look away.

I’d like to share the conversation I had with ChatGPT back in March of this year to begin with the recreation. Please don’t mind the typos, I have cubital tunnel syndrome and sometimes when I am trying to get things done I tend to put grammatical correctness on standby. I worked on this piece up until June 8th, when I finally deemed it “Good Enough”.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from minting this NFT will go towards the Foundation for Art and Blockchain, which provides grants that support independent Web3 artists (their logo is similar in execution to my renditions ¹ ² of “The Creation”, fun coincidence). Every subsequent sale will be split 50-50 with the seller and the foundation. You must be 18 years or older (or whichever is the legal age in your area) and possess a valid credit card tied to your name, or if purchasing with crypto you automatically attest that you are of legal majority age within your jurisdiction to be making such a transaction.
