A Gross Miscarriage of Justice

November 2nd, 2022

To quote myself:

“I normally don’t post anything super political but how could I not be motivated to when some of us human beings are having our literal rights taken away?”

The overturning of Roe v. Wade on June 24th, 2022 perhaps marked the first time I felt compelled to make art for a specific human rights issue I felt has been violated. I was required to model for this since DALL-E and Midjourney could not generate images for any prompt for a pregnant woman in an orange prison outfit due to community guidelines. They were and still are quite strict with those.

The imagery of of the woman who appeared to be miscarrying, dead on the crucifix against the gloomy US Capitol building is clearly meant to reflect heavy religious and political undertones. To me, it doesn’t make any sense to leave the law up to the States; the bans that have been instilled are not founded in science and are in fact oppressive. I understand there have to be limits, but a complete ban is not the answer.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from minting this NFT will go towards the Abortion Freedom Fund, towards directly funding the economically misfortunate individuals of the female sex in all States in need of mail services for science-backed abortion pills. Every subsequent sale will be split 50-50 with the seller and the foundation. You must be 18 years or older (or whichever is the legal age in your area) and possess a valid credit card tied to your name, or if purchasing with crypto you automatically attest that you are of legal majority age within your jurisdiction to be making such a transaction.
